The works at Salhouse were completed under the NPS framework and allowed for heating and domestic services to a new extension and replacement of the original oil fired boiler plant. In the boiler house a new natural gas supply was installed together with three new Broag boilers. These were connected via low loss header systems to both the original school heating system and the new underfloor heating installation in the new extension.
In addition to the heating, the original domestic water services were refurbished with a new gas fired hot water generator being installed in the boiler house and new HWS/CWS distribution to the new extension.
A new boiler house control system was installed which provided compensated control for the heating and time function for occupancy periods.
New sanitary ware, above ground drainage and extract ventilation was provided for pupil, staff and disabled w/c facilities |
